Speculating is not a 4-letter word. "Investors" thought they knew the long term fundamentals of MU while they were getting long at 90, 80, 70, 60, etc.. Of course its the understanding of a company which will pay the greatest dividends in the long run, it's just that technical analysis, or to be a real reductionist, simple acknowledgement of good exit and entry points along the curve that helps to alleviate the Mu's of the world. (sorry to pick on MU, it's just a textbook example of all the analysis-paralysis that kept people buying all the way down believing their own BS.)
