The news release about Apple's starting to potentially increase market share through iMac sales seems like the precipitating event, as was discussed before. The last bastion of naysayers was that Apple was making more money but not selling more Macs and was not increasing market share. I think that news caused people to buy, and shorts to cover. Your thought that short covering was involved in the buying seems reasonable to me but I think it was precipitated by that important news release. I hope we do get an upgrade, too! Linda
