Emile, Yes I agree the real jews are those by faith in Jesus Christ, the seed(one) of Abraham. Others are deceived and belong to the synagogue of satan. We need to pray for those who are blind.
Back to Babylon. Don't know if you are familiar with DR. Chriswell, First Baptist church in Dallas, I don't belong there , but read some of his writings. He is editor of a study bible, "The Believers Study Bible", NKJV, and on page 1819, in notes for Rev 14:8, it says,
"Babylon was viewed with special disfavor by the Hebrews due to the humiliation of the 70 years of captivity, the gross immorality and idolitry of the Babylonians, and the influence of the Babylonian mystery religions. The Christian community came to view the capitol city of Rome as the new Babylon, oppressive and immoral. Soon Babylon became the Christian code for Rome. The repetition of the verb form, "is fallen" emphasizes the utter destruction of that city's downfall."
I can see where the near prophecy was fulfilled when the vandals sacked Rome, but also can see that this is a pointer to a future fulfillment of the USA or apostate Christian church. Your comments please.
