Noble one, Todays Arizona Republic, 8/22 had a nice spread next to the Click & Clacks column. In the Wheels & Auto section of todays paper is a very powerful ad from Mercedes-Benz. 4 X 8 in. Color foto with print. I will not post the picture but as you will soon see it is one from the same angle that the ITS is depicted. From the inside looking out. Reading the print and looking at the picture I as a consumer would have a hard time picking SMU product over Autolive's. Looks like Volvo is aboard and Benz. Is the score 2 X 1. Volvo, Benz, BMW. " When its 1999 E-Class sedans go on sale soon, Mercedes-Benz will be the first automaker to offer a curtain-like air bag that extends across the front and rear windows... ....the new curtain airbag is the only system that can prevent occupants from hitting their heads on the side window or roof pillars in a side wreck. blah-blah- blah.... ....More than 6 feet long, 14 inches in height and about 2 inches thick, the curtain bag deploys from the ceiling in about 25 milliseconds." Is this the ITS in is new form? I have mixed feelings about this, whether this new interest will be good as the market is big enough for many players or is this product in its new reincarnation a better solution to the side issue. It does look more expensive. But only 2 are needed vs 4. Where is the 16G when you need it.
