You are right about filled later is filled.
Believe me, I am a trader, not a bull.
But let's be accurate here. The fill you mentioned on 5/30 is not a true fill, as the close that day was above the gap. It was an intraday fill. But indeed it was filled briefly by the close on 6/04/97.
Yes, all stocks tend to fill gaps. This one will probably be filled in the near future. But, if the market rallies there will not be a fill this week and I will make lots of money on my Sept. 115 calls. All the solid news on this thing is hard to fight. There is a mention of Dell in 'The Striking Price' in this weekend's Barron's. The author points out that "only the broad thrashing of stocks on Friday pulled Dell below 120". I tend to agree.
Technically the stock is ready to pull in a bit. However...
If we rally Monday, Dell flies.
But what do I know? I can speculate until I'm blue in the face, but the market does not lie.
