Other than ridiculing perennial bears I did not hear much analysis as to why this time around the bear case continues to be wrong. The situation in the global financial markets has worsened dramatically in the last year with currency collapses, global deflation, and meltdowns in other stock and bond markets. Throw on top of that a potential impending constitutional crisis and a new war against terrorism and it seems to me that there is at least some reason to pause and wonder if things might not be different this time.

I wish he would spend a little time describing how he thinks this whole mess will play out in such a way as to allow the markets to go to new highs. That way we could evaluate his reasoning rather than just following him blindly. Is it enough that interest rates are low and likely to remain so? Is he expecting to see earnings growth in this type of environment? Etc., etc. If he has in fact addressed all of this, I'd appreciate hearing what his view is.
