I also experienced the net connection problem trying to connect to 2 different, local ISPs and I am not sure why. took an hour of tweaking settings to keep the connection and I am still not certain what the problem is. Didn't try the free Earthlink. My ISP(Netcom) would not work either. It logs on fine, gives me an IP, but any attempt to load a website fails immediately. I have extensive expertise in things Mac, and so it is very frustrating. So I signed up with Earthlink and that works, but im getting a lot of disconnects. At this point I am blaming el cheapo modem for the disconnects, but I have no clue about the why Netcom wont work. The whole thing is smaller then I had imagined. It is indeed very toy like. Like others, I also find the round mouse a little disorienting. I think I will get used to it. I'm also worried that we will I scratch the shinny plastic on the front and it will stick out like a sore thumb. It's not what I would consider "high quality", but definately a good value. If it were not for these connection problems then I would be thrilled with it. Its sort or ironic that this is the most trouble I have ever had getting a computer on the internet. There are a lot of things I love about it of course. But those are the things you guys already know about. CompUSA was out of them. But I went to an Apple specialist and they had a big pile. Jon Bird P.S. Despite the iMac's good looks, it feels like nothing compared to the warmth of being seated in front of my 20th Anniversary Mac.
