For the last 6 months, every Sunday morning I have checked out the newspaper sales inserts of Best Buy, Comp USA, and Circuit City. Invariably, the ads emphasized AMD systems. Last weekend, the K6 with 3D NOW was all over the ads. So, it hasn't been surprising to me that Intel has made slow progress in the sub $1,000 market. Today I pick up the paper and the Celeron 333's are everwhere, followed by lots of Pentium ll ads and AMD relegated to just one or two ads per insert. If this holds up for a few more weeks, Intel will pick up their market share in the sub $1,000 market and AMD is in a deeper bind. Does anyone know what profit margin is expected on the new Celeron's? Tom
