ztect, look just a little bit behind the ValueAmerica deal. ValueAMerica ads are saturating the airwaves. It was mentioned a second time in the NY times business section today. ValueAmerica is pushing hard to displace Cendant as the #1 members-only retailer. IBM is a partner.

Conclusions: IBM is well know to have their own commerce server business. Why would VA choose DRIV over IBMs commerce server? So, DRIV can compete with IBM successfully.

Another conclusion: DRIV can close deals with big companies. The prospectus states that the biggest risk is failing to sign on big retailers, that they can't just rely on small fry software companies to make money. Well, this risk has now been reduced.

DRIV is NOT a no-brainer like TSQD was last April. It is the riskiest stock in my portfolio. But DRIV has the advantage of being one of the first into the ESD game, and they have an incredible library of titles.

What concerns me the most is the lack of an internet storefront. THis reduces visibility for the company. But I accept this, because it is essential to their business model that they do not compete with their own customers. My thought is, maybe they can cut a deal with each and every company, then start a Amazon.com-like software center.
