RE: Margining DGIV

I presently have about 2500 shares of DGIV bought on margin a few months ago from Quick & Reilly when DGIV was $5. At first, they stated it was not marginable, but when I persisted they looked at my diverse portfolio and said they could do it also since it was at least $4 a share (their $ limit for marginability). And they did.

With the drop to 2 1/2$, I am currently about $6k in the hole, but I have not received a margin call because the total value of my portfolio there is WELL above the limit for such action.

I will say that I am currently liquidating many of my holdings due to the uncertainty in many sectors but I do NOT plan on liquidating ANY of my DGIV. To me, the success of DGIV is more of a certainty than most of my other holdings.

BTW, I hold an additional considerable portion of DGIV shares is my online Waterhouse account and am WELL in the "black" there!
