Frontier Builds ATM Network

Frontier Corp. said it will deploy more than 40 Ascend Communications GX 550 and CBX 500 ATM core switches throughout its network by the end of Q1 1999. The ATM layer will support Frontier's Optronics network, designed to deliver high-speed transport for data and voice applications.
