Perhaps your question deals with the process.

Andrew Johnson was impeached by the House. After a House vote to impeach, the Senate holds a trial, where a 2/3s vote is required to expell the President. Johnson kept his job as president by 1 vote in his Senate trial.

Nixon resigned well before the full House and Senate would have had to deal with him, but after the House Judiciary committee voted to recommend impeachment to the full House.

Therefore, Johnson is our only president to have been impeached.
