I actually followed his work quite closely, on two fronts... Qa-2 and H-2D antigen expression on murine tumors, several years ago. He collaborated with Dan Merulo and their work was key for some stuff that I was interested in. He's been up to his eyeballs in the major histocompatibility complex, so it should be interesting to see what this "chemical" is. I can't find anything in recent abstracts that gives me a clue. The CNN report is sort of lame... it's good to simplify for the layman, but failing to mention the agent??
