I am absolutely positive that what he said was no more DARPA money was expected at all on XRL. He gave me a detailed reason that the intent of DARPA was to get XRL to the point of being commercially viable (ready), and that had been achieved. He also told me that several "groups" and been to JMAR for demos of the XRL, including some from stepper companies that had come to do some measurements on it.

I'll go along with the other reason mentioned for the delay (sub-contractors) but I'm certain as to this money point. Money was not an issue at that time. Of course I now question the sub reason in retrospect.
