Actually Lawrence my recent comments have been sans Japan in mind. I have written them off. Are you saying that all of Asia and the rest of the world, especially emerging markets, can do nothing before there is recovery in Japan? Is the contagion inevitably going to cause recession in the States?

Pain is inevitable but we are in a position to lessen it and promote free markets (and democracy by the way). I sense a major division developing that can only worsen and prolong the pain.

Is there no Rx?
