Was Osma Bin Laden providing campaign contributions to US Congressmen?

Interesting possibility! Bin Laden has been providing finances for Kashmiri militant groups whose bases were bombed by recent American bombing. Here is a news clip indicating a possibility that Laden's funds were channeled for British political contributions.

This is significant in view of the report that some funds from Laden were channelled through British banks here with the help of certain groups and persons resident in Britain. These reports allege active association and involvement of some Pakistanis living here in the operation of funds. Such revelations, with the Labour Party annual conference just a few weeks away, might force a radical change in the attitude of some Labour Ministers and MPs towards Islamic fundamentalist groups, pro-plebiscite lobbies in Britain and Pakistan. They will at least lie low for now and wait for events to unfold further. (Click here for full text)

There are some American Congressmen who had been advocating the cause of Kashmiri militant groups. Obviously, these congressmen did benefit from the campaign contributions from the PACs of these groups. It is likely that some of these funds came from Laden whom US is trying to eliminate now!
