SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Infoseek Corporation (Nasdaq: SEEK) today launched Infoseek Online Powered by AT&T (NYSE: T) WorldNet(R) Service. Now Web surfers can get reliable Internet access with AT&T's newest Internet technologies at a low introductory rate of $9.95 per month for the first three months.
Infoseek also today launched its "Communications Center" giving users one-click access to AT&T's most advanced Web tools that let surfers transform an online keyboard chat into a live conversation, initiate a conference call from the Web, or automatically dial anyone in AT&T's Anywho(SM) directory.

Infoseek Online gives customers easy Internet access through AT&T WorldNet Service, as well as a co-branded version of Infoseek's home page. Subscribers enjoy the benefits of Infoseek's extensive content, free chat, and instant messaging, and get discounts on AT&T long distance. Additionally, users can find Web-page building tools, communication software downloads, and valuable links to resources that can help them stay in touch.
Infoseek Online Powered by AT&T WorldNet Service offers new users 150 hours of Internet access per month at a special trial price of $9.95 per month for the first three months. After the first three months, users will be charged the standard AT&T WorldNet Service rate, currently $19.95 per month. Additional hours are $0.99 each.

* AT&T One Rate(SM) Online: Customers who sign up for AT&T long distance services through Infoseek pay only 9 cents a minute for state-to-state long distance calls dialed from home.
* AT&T Inter@ctive Communications: A host of communication services that let customers communicate efficiently using the Internet. These services require a phone line separate from the Internet connection. They are:
* AT&T Chat 'N Talk Internet users can make a phone call to anyone in a chat room while retaining their anonymity. "Chatters" click on an AT&T Chat 'N Talk icon, enter their phone numbers and billing information and the call is connected through their second phone lines. The AT&T network connects both parties without revealing any phone numbers. The host can connect up to six chat-room participants or outside participants from any of the 50 states. The service costs $0.50 per participant for the setup fee and $0.25 cents per minute per participant. All charges are billed to the host of the conference call.
* AT&T Click2Dial(SM) Directories: Users can auto-dial anyone listed in AT&T's Anywho directory with the simple click of a button. Click on the appropriate person and connect with him or her on a call for just $0.15 cents per minute anywhere in the continental United States, Hawaii and Alaska.
* AT&T Click2Dial(SM) Conferencing: Internet users can set-up and control a conference call with up to 7 people at anytime, without operator assistance. The conference host enters the telephone numbers of the people they want to call and the conference is launched. After the call begins, the host can also mute, add or delete participants. The service is $0.15 cents per minute for each person called anywhere in the continental United States, Hawaii and Alaska.
* AT&T PersonaLink(TM) Services: AT&T customers can access their personal AT&T account at anytime; locate people or businesses in the AT&T Anywho Directory; or send wireless pages directly from their computer to anyone using an AT&T Digital PCS phone (with messaging service activated), an AT&T alphanumeric pager, or an AT&T PocketNet(TM) Phone.
