Audio Book Club Remains Focused On Growth Via The Net
Audio Book Club, Inc. (AMEX: KLB), today announced it has signed an innovative online marketing and sponsorship agreement with GeoCities (Nasdaq: GCTY), the largest and one of the fastest growing communities of personal Web sites on the Internet. Under the terms of the agreement, Audio Book Club will be the audiobook club seller on GeoCities and will manage several unique promotions throughout the GeoCities community.
Audio Book Club will be prominently featured in GeoCities' Athens neighborhood, which focuses on literature, writing, education and philosophy. GeoCities will maintain a co-branded Audio Book Club area within the Athens neighborhood and will market the availability of Audio Book Club's products to members who request the information. As part of the agreement, Audio Book Club will also provide a special housewarming gift to all new homesteaders who join the GeoCities community.

GeoCities was the third most trafficked site on the Internet among home users in June 1998, according to Media Matrix.
