Nice bit of PR by Papken is on Yahoo news now...

an extract:

Recently launched at SEMICON West 98, SVG's Micrascan III+ is uniquely positioned to address chipmakers' needs with a number of new features that deliver significant performance enhancements over its predecessors.

These benefits include a 55 nm tool-to-tool overlay, lower optical distortion, 180 nm resolution and a throughput of up to 90 wafers per hour. With its enlarged 26 mm x 34 mm field size, the system also offers the largest DUV exposure field for critical levels in the industry, allowing chipmakers to print more yieldable die per wafer.

In addition, the Micrascan III+ combines advanced projection optics and a highly flexible 248 nm excimer laser illumination and beam delivery system with SVG's patented AXIOM(tm) off-axis alignment technology to provide wide process latitude in exposure and alignment. Together these features allow chipmakers to reliably achieve the overlay performance and critical dimension (CD) control needed to create the higher speed, higher density devices that drive increased profitability while speeding return on investment.

P.S. to DAK: The last time I heard somebody refer to a stock as dead money was KLIC at 15. Within a year, it had dropped to 10 then soared to almost $60. If that's the definition of "dead money", I sure hope all my stocks qualify. ;-)
