Of all the things to disagree with me about, it's over "bugger"? Okay, Dug, you can have that one. As for your attacks on my character, I don't think that's fair. If you notice, the only people I try to flame are those who have called me stupid, a liar, or ill-informed--accusations which are especially goading from people like jlallen or Bob Churchill who without fail posts inaccurate information when attacking me. (But I'll agree it's gotten a bit out of control.) I note for the record that despite all of the ad hominem attacks on me, Newt Gingrich gave a speech yesterday which basically confirmed virtually all my views of the Lewinsky case that I have posted and been attacked for: He said it wasn't enough by itself to justify impeachment; he said impeachment wastes a huge amount of energy of the public; he said that the GOP was at a disadvantage over spin control because of grand jury confidentiality; he said the House would likely stretch the process out to next year; etc. etc. For once in our lives, Newt and I were reading from the same page. Doughboy.
