<<''I have intimate knowledge of that factory and it just does not lend itself to the manufacture of chemical weapons,>>

Manufacturing the chemical components of nerve gas is not the same as manufacturing weapons> I don't believe anyone has said that the site housed completely, or even partially completed bombs or warheads, only chemicals, that when combined, could make nerve gas. The builders or plant managers could be telling the truth, and the US might still be justified in making the strike.

I am withholding judgement on the correctness of the targets, pending further information. My first reaction was - stand by your President, but that's only for the concept of striking at terrorists, not the specific strikes we made.
