The convergence is happening - the technologies are already being put into place. There are a couple of major areas that LU and NT play in that CISCO cannot - phones, phone switches and cellular infrastructure. HOWEVER, the big growth is in the networking equipment that ties all of that together, and with the advances we are seeing, direct mapping of voice (via IP) over SONET is a reality. And, I think CISCO will be a player in that arena. Yes, it is all digital, and yes, it will be an all-out war. The stakes are huge as companies rush to make everything connect to everything at the highest possible bit rates.
