New Deskpro EN and Deskpro EP Series Models Feature Latest Pentium(R) II and Intel(R) Celeron(tm) Processors
Delivering on its promise to provide the highest-quality, best-value desktops for its business customers, Compaq Computer Corporation CPQ today announced worldwide new models of its award-winning Deskpro EP and Deskpro EN Series, featuring Intel's newest and most powerful processors. The new Deskpro PCs will be available through Compaq authorized resellers and Compaq DirectPlus in North America in September.

New Intel Processors
The new Deskpro EN Series and Deskpro EP Series will incorporate the fastest, most powerful processor available, the Pentium(R) II processor 450 MHz, introduced today, as well as the new Intel Celeron processor 333 MHz and Celeron processor 300A MHz, which offer customers value and performance at entry-level pricing.

Deskpro EN Series
Compaq's Deskpro EN Series is designed for enterprise customers who seek a combination of manageability, serviceability and consistency in their PCs. Available in desktop, minitower or small form factor chassis design, the line offers new Pentium(R) II processor 450MHz and Intel Celeron(tm) processors, SMART Ultra ATA hard drives up to 14.4 GB(1), 32X Max CD-ROM(2) drives (on select models), and ATI RagePro Turbo graphics card. Select models also include a Compaq 10/100 TX PCI Intel WOL UTP NIC (3).
Deskpro EP Series
The Deskpro EP Series offers customers the latest technologies at the most competitive prices. The new models will feature the highest levels of performance with new Pentium II(R) processor 450 MHz and Celeron(tm) processors, SMART Ultra ATA hard drives up to 14.4 GB(1), Matrox MGA-G100 or Matrox Millennium G200-SD AGP graphics adapters with excellent 2D, 3D and multimedia performance and 16-bit, full-duplex audio featuring Compaq PremierSound.
Intelligent Manageability and Serviceability Features
All new Compaq models include Compaq's award-winning Intelligent Manageability features, which deliver easy control and management throughout the PC's life while lowering the total cost of ownership.
