GV, you say, "Kodak probably has better access to the
Creo/Heidelberg prototype than Presstek has.".

I think that is a quantum leap of faith given the considerable
relationship that PRSt already has with Heidelberg. As many
have said in the past, Heidelberg may not want an exclusive
plate supplier for their press and there for would make the
prototype available for anyone with a processless wet plate.

Kodak may be a giant but they have the same painful
learning, technology curve that PRST has had in the release
of PEARLgold. They are further hampered by PRST's giant
lead and its proprietary and patented process of manufacture
and technology.

Interesting that the new QM-DI has a new imaging system
that apparently decreases the imaging time. Is this the new
4th generation laser in a new imaging kit? Is PRST now
shipping this new imaging kit to Heidelberg? If so, does that
mean that the inventory of the older kits has been depleted?
How will that effect the ordering of these kits from PRST to
Heidelberg in the near term? Some clarity on these important
issues would great, maybe I can find some.

Paul, thanks for pointing out this article in Dotprint. It gives
me great comfort regarding the solid future of the QM-DI
and our relationship with Heidelberg.

Good luck to each and all
