TO ALL,

I want to thank you for the responses to my initial question regarding DELL and it's business practices. It's fairly clear to me that although DELL has indeed perfected JIT and customer service practices that they really do not have any inherent value add which can not be emulated by someone with reasonable capital. It's difficult for me to comprehend why this company has earned such a high valuation, but clearly (as was pointed out by one of you) the stock is operating in a disconnected way from the market and the company. My investment style if to seek companies that have unique value add in growth markets which have barriers to entry. DELL really doesn't fit this model. Unfortunately the MM's keep hyping this stock and the pup keeps cranking along so I'll miss this ride. At the end of the day however I just don't feel comfortable since much of the stock price is predicated on continued growth in a market that isn't really growing that fast and where competitors can somewhat easily emulate DELL's distribution practices.

Anyway, thanks again for confirming my views on DELL.
