Bravo! Well Said!! DH, from a long term lurker (1 year+) and occasional poster (3 or 4 mos), please allow me to say you will be missed on the Strictly: Drilling thread.
I do, however, know where I will be able to read your contributions along with Thean's and LT's in the future and understand from exactly where you are coming. Frankly, I spend little time here any more myself and I suspect there are many other long termers who have been abandoning the Strictly Drilling thread, too. Frankly, it's just not worth the time and the side-effects of excessive antacid use.
FWIW, I now merely scan SD's index for interesting and informative sounding posts on this thread. I only actually read those that catch my eye (from responsible posters) in the first line of the post. If those who post here want to be read, they might consider this. I doubt I am alone. IMHO, there is way too much drivel and bile flowing here versus a mere 6 months ago to make the time spent reading posts worth it any longer.
Bottom line to those who remain here and actually WANT your posts read, you might consider making them interesting from the get-go, make them more brief, and stop the d--mn bickering. Only speaking for myself, but I seldom, if ever, read posts from those who have established a pattern of posting angry retorts, cursing, engage in personal attacks, or are habitually excessively verbose. Whoops, I, too, am now getting too long. Sorry...time to go! Good luck...
