Doug, I agree that, from the views you've shared and what other press reports have indicated, that the non-Muslim peoples of Nigeria have every right to take up whatever tools they have available to gain representation and their share of Nigeria's oil wealth. I wonder if other Islamic governments or regimes (or groups, read Wahabi, etc.) might'nt offer help to what they would perceive as the 'Allah-blessed' powers that be, in any efforts to quell the 'godless', 'They should know their place' majority. If the conflict became Christian majority versus entrenched Muslim leaders, could the fighting expand to include problems that would affect even deep water offshore operations? Even deep water rigs need to be supplied, manned, etc. Another question I'd have would involve why would Oil and Gas Journal print such a rosy view of recent government actions? I'd better go before my employer's I-patrol finds me out here in the bushes, using the Net for my own illumination. See ya' this eve, Lee
