First Internet-Based Flat Fee Long-Distance Phone Service

[All, This is altogether uncanny. Last night I had a discussion about the use of voice recognition to circumvent the multiple digits required for dialing credit card and voip calls, and today I come across this article. Wherein: "...patented technology allows telephone-to-telephone calls using simple, fast call placement. To use the service, callers will simply dial a local number and vocally state the number they wish to call." Interesting development. I wonder if each caller will habe to teach the popware or centralized data base their voice print patterns with regard to their digit-specific signatures. What do you think? And what do you think about this statement they make: "High-ratio Speech Compression is used to assure the quality of the call." Hmm. Regards, Frank C.]
