I wonder if the boy might try this dodge? He'll do another speech ( a mulligan ) and say something like " I feel so bad that the American people have been forced to pay $50 million for this unprecedented intrusion into the private life of a President, and it has been argued by some that I may bear some small part of the responsibility for this. Therefore, Hillary and I have decided to contribute my entire salary for the remainder of my term to charity."

It's perfect. He's only in this for the power ( and the sex ). He doesn't need any money anyway to live in luxury for the remainder of the term. And his Hollywood buddies will make sure that continues afterwards. And every soccer mom will swoon at the prospect of a president who gives everything he has.
