I need the context of the original article. The short answer is scary : first you install ERP (2 yrs minimum and we all know how many Sap implementations NEVER go live) - cost 10-40MM, then you install I2 or Manu (or Red Pepper if you are a Psft shop) another 2+ MM and 1 year effort. So, no way to save on cash in this scenario. Its a 3 year cycle minimum and you may never get it. Thats the short answer. MH
