Anyone care to comment, is it possible that they deferred some remote access revenues last quarter. That might artificially make them fall behind on the paper for that quarter only. If they comeback on top this quarter, deferred revenues make sense.

I really think that major growth going forward will come from large ISPs upgrading to V.90 and VOIP equipment, that should swing the pendulum ASND's way next two quarters.

Bind,

I have no indication on my side that any of our ISP's have switched from Ascend to Cisco, nor are they mixing Ascend/Cisco access equipment in their infrastructure.

I have another thought. Customers of these marketing reports by Dataquest, the Yankee Group, etc... know how misleading and inaccurate their reports can be. This is because the Dataquest numbers are a result of surveying the equipment vendor, not the customers. Often, these numbers are bogus numbers because the vendor has a motive to lie. I know for a fact that this happened at a previous organization that I worked for--we routinely gave bogus numbers to Dataquest. I am not suggesting anything here, but it is just a thought.
