Brinker time off & Y2K ramblings: Time off - Bob, when asked by a caller to not take any more time off because his listners need him in this time of extra volatility, Bob emphasized that "if there is no time off, Bob Brinker is out of here!!!". I think the caller was a little taken aback by Brinker's response. But I think he (& most listeners got the message). All need time off once in a while to recharge one's batteries, etc. Life is to short not to enjoy it along the way. Y2K - Heard a couple of calls over the weekend. During the last one, when pressed by the caller on the subject, Bob emphasised that his focus is on the shorter-term market analysis & it is to soon to dwell on Y2K. In an earlier weekend call, however, he offered some related dates to consider (besides 1/1/2000) including: 1/1/99 - start of some companies fiscal year 7/1/99 - start of some companies fiscal year 9/1/99 - start of some companies fiscal year 8/22/99- GPS rollover date (GPS system reset) 9/9/99 - 9999 = end of file in some computer systems 2/29/00- He mentioned that the year 2000 is not a "normal" leap year
