Bob That is the part tht makes it somewhat difficult for me. If you believe that people should only take parts f the bible literally, how do you determine which parts? Won't different people come up with different determinations? doesnt that create a different meaning for different people? What then is the purpose for literal tranlsation? the reason I ask is not that I am trying to change your belief system, or even claim that it is wrong in any way, shape or fashion. You already know that I dont personally believe in literal translation of the bible. I just like to know the rationale of people who hold views different than my own, so that I can develop a greater understanding and appreciation. mark
