12 American lives lost: that's $5 million per life. What do we do if they down a plane and take 300 American lives?

Actually I think the Tomahawks we use nowdays are $1M each, so we spent $75 million taking retribution for the embassy bombings. At 12 American lives lost, let's just call it an even $6 mill per life.

Now on to the airplane question (or rather the answer): 300x$6m=$1.8 billion, which translates into......wahoo! 1,800 Tomahawks! We could, had we the resolve, put into practice a literal "scorched earth" policy in our war against terrorism.

I wonder any military contractor weapons factory workers would need to work overtime? :-)
