<<Most of the politicos calling for his resignation now are the Dems>> That's an outright falsehood. I know of only a single Democrat and an obscure one at that who has asked for the President to resign. The Dems are no doubt licking their wounds, but this is similar to what the GOP is doing, they're saving their ammunition for when the report comes in. You think mild criticism from Feinstein, Daschle and Gephardt is going to lead them to abandon the first Democratic POTUS in almost two decades? Yes they're "hurt" but they'll be there when the bombs start falling. As for GOP restraint, I certainly haven't seen that either: Delay, Ashcroft, Bennett, Coates, Quayle and all the other usual suspects in the right wing press: Will, Krauthammer, et al. have all called for impeachment or resignation.
