The Bankruptcy of America was the title of the book- suggestions included long in gold and short in stocks and TB's. His forecast was that the federal deficit would rise like a hockey stick and the resulting interest rates rise and high inflation would bankrupt every thing which produces Gold and commodities was way for year 2000- if anyone would have invested on Dr Batra advice we would see a 100,000$ today worth 17,800$'s and if you would have gone against his advice your money would be 753.000 $'s. Instead of a trillion $ annual deficit in the budget as projected by him for 1996 we are in 1998 sitting on a excess of 40 billion $ moving towards an excess of 300 billion $ in next five years and I am sure that with Gingrich trying to take the purse away from Washington US will be in 15 years a nation whose social security instead of a zero sum game will be 60% funded. Moreover US does not have the looming specter of aging population without replacement- it is projected that Japanese by year 3050 will be a rare commodity they will just erase themselves out of existence as lack of interest in multiplying and taking responsibility ma y result in sad extinction of a great race, on the other hand US will keep multiplying rather have a population growth rate which is envy of lot of nations who wish to remain racially pure and pristine.. US has its million of advantages one being it is a model of a future society with its million ills- this is how I see the world will amalgamate or fuse together and will progress-- US society for me is a model where immigrants like Indian Chinese and people from all over the world has been given that respect and advantage which yields the best out of them, this is one reason 'demographic deflation' which is now faced by many in Northern hemisphere' is not a threat to US. This opening up and fusion in itself is one of the greatest achievements of founding fathers. Me sitting here from outside just hope that my thinking may just not be wishful..
