Keep in mind that the ''IBM effect'' has been smoothed out of ODIS' revenue curve. Hence, when talking about total revenue growth we're actually talking of license revenue growth and this one's been consistently around 40% for over a year.
Excerpt from last year's 3rd Q report:
OBJECT DESIGN, INC. CONSOLIDATED STATEMENTS OF OPERATIONS (in thousands, except per share data) (unaudited)
Three Months Ended Nine Months Ended September 30, September 30, 1997 1996 1997 1996 Revenues: Software $9,842 $6,632 $24,747 $17,961 Services 3,008 2,649 8,399 7,573 Related party software & services 165 244 2,199 2,185 Total revenues 13,015 9,525 35,345 27,719
So, assuming 40 % in license revenue along with 15% growth in service revenue, we get $9,842 + 40% = $13,780,000 in license rev. and $3,008 + 15% = $3,460,000 in service.... TOTAL: $17,240,000 But then we must factor in the tremendous growth provided by third parties such as Andromedia and Sterling Soft. These could account for the extra million we need to top the $18M mark. |
