I'm having trouble with this too. I expect and hope it reflects one of Europe's biggest efficiency problems, i.e. the horrendous cost of laying off a worker. If you run the numbers, it really makes one of these machines expensive.

I hope that Europe will adopt the technology for new blood centers and hospitals, if the theory is correct in part.
