Regeneron Gets $5M Milestone Payment From Sumitomo Pharma Dow Jones Newswires TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. (REGN) received a $5 million milestone payment from Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals Co. for development of Regeneron's brain-derived neurotrophic factor in Japan. In a press release Monday, Regeneron said it has been collaborating with Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals in the development of brain-derived neurotrophic factor since 1994. Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals is a unit of Sumitomo Chemical Co. (J.SUC). Regeneron Pharmaceuticals researches and develops drugs.
