On last Friday's Digital Jam (8/21 on CNNfn), Jason Pontin, editor of the Red Herring, disclosed that they were in posession of Microsoft documents leaked from the Justice Department which confirmed that high level conversations had taken place at Microsoft in an effort to deliberately disable competitors applications running under Windows.
The news was so shocking, that the normally eloquent Jason Pontin had to explain it three different times to CNNfn hosts Steve Young and Bruce Francis.
Jason Pontin suggested that viewers who were interested (and who wouldn't be) cruise over to Red Herring's web site that evening for more details (redherring.com).
Since this was broadcast Friday, I have seen nothing on either the Herring site, or CNNfn, that makes any mention of this now. It's as though it never happened.
Did anyone else see this report? It was broadcast on the east coast at 7:30pm and again at 11:00pm.
