What happened in Vietnam and the Gulf War is the reality of all wars. We did the same in WW2. We dropped bombs on the cities in both Europe and Japan. As all combat veterans know, you do what is necessary to conquer the enemy and save as many lives as you can of your comrades. I believe it was Sherman who said, "War is Hell", and indeed it is so. Sometimes in life tho we have to do harsh things to accomplish what is right. From what I have been reading on this thread, I suspect that some of you (not talking about you jb) are part of the draft dodgers of the Vietnam era. May I say that I think you are a sorry bunch of---. In my opinion any man who will not answer the call of his country does not have a shread of integrity. Yes, you have the privilege to come on here and spout off all your BS, but it is not because of your great intellect or anything else you have done. It is because of the sacrifice of others since the founding of this nation. In my opinion you, and our president, are lower than whale droppings, and you know where they are found. And yes, as you may have guessed, I am a flag waving veteran--WW2 vintage. dd
