Uh, I thought this was the vaunted REPUBLICAN CONGRESS'S Tax Reduction Act of 1997?! Lowering capital gains taxes from 28 to 20%, starting Roth IRAs, increasing the personal exemptions, increasing inheritance tax exemptions, increasing the earned income tax credit, reducing taxes on home residence sales. Ring a bell, Bob? I personally gained several thousand dollars, mostly in lower capital gains taxes last year. Why is it that you can remember who was killed in a Civil War battle, but you can't remember what happened only last year?
