Thanks for the input Paul. I also think the high US $ value will eventually catch up on the American economy as more and more American companies increase their shopping of raw and finished goods for outside countries like Canada because their buying power is much better than in the US. I know for a fact that the Canadian Trade surplus to the US has increased even more ever since our $ has plumeted against the US $ (currently at .645 to the Cdn$).

I would think that when this happens, Gold will likely become a more attractive alternative to hiding on the US$. The recent supply glut over demand for gold sure dont help matters though.
