I called IR minutes ago, spoke with Irene Chow. She had no information, with the stated reason that she was only with the company 2 weeks.
She asked me to look at the analyst reports. She referenced Volpe Brown, with a positive report, and Lehman, with a neutral recommendation, citing price competition (that must be the company view then, price competition).
I asked about Alcatel's stake in the company, if any, given the French-connection, and she did not have enough information to comment.
I asked how I could get information from a more knowledgeable source, and she gave me the name and number of Charles McBrayer, the CFO. I left a message for Mr. McBrayer, but don't know if he will return the call.
