Joey,
"Answer: Thru marketing (celeron for basic segment and PII for
high-performing) and megahertz (Celeron 266-333 at 66 bus,
while PII is 350-450 at 100 bus)."

I agree, Intel is basically a marketing company now.

RE:"You think AMD will be fine if they have to price their K6-2 chips against Celeron???? Uhhh, i don't
think so. And, as soon as K6-2 350s come out in any sort of meaningful volume for AMD, Intel will
chop its legs off by slashing PII 350 prices. Same old story...nothing has changed"

Joey, don't forget that the die size of the K6-2 is half that of the Celeron A. HALF!

On the other hand, I'm considering exiting my Intel position because of the desert wasteland the Mendocino is going to make of Intel's profit margins. Intels best hope is to curtail the supplies of this "DEVIL" chip! As a mateer on contention, The Celeron A could make a desert wasteland of the whole chip industry!
