Space Cadet, UNPH is a darling of the mutual fund managers and a fine company. They bought out IBM's Zurich facility, and a Fiber Bragg Grating company in Australia. They are the company behind CIEN's success, and have implemented many revolutionary new concepts. I would not short UNPH,maybe avoid it,but certainly not short it. ANTC is the company supplying TCOMA with basic components on consignment. They bill TCOMA after they install the equipment, and they are part of the consortium known as Arris Communications(a joint venture with NT). I would not short ANTC either, they are a good company. If you want to short something, look for companies strapped for cash, that have to go to the market and do a secondary, mainly a S-3 convertable floorless. There are vultures out there preying on CEO's with too much optimism, these things fall like stones. Look at RACE,FIBR,RMTR as examples of floorless convertables. There are many others also. I would only short companies I felt would go out of business and had no means of financing, like CVUS. Be careful shorting, Tim |
