By spun off I mean formed as affiliates, not taken public. If those
companies were just R+D projects within Newbridge, a lot of the numbers (revenue per employee, for example) would look worse. I
guess the use of the term spun off indicates that they were started
by ex-Newbridge people, which I think many were.

Cambrian, in my opinion, has some exceptionally rare and hot
technology (maybe less rare now that LU seems to be taking business
away from CIEN). Some of the other affiliates don't seem to me to have the kind of growth potential Cambrian has.
