Hello Margaret. I don't know if you beat me on the early shift. I got up at 4:30 for a while. Get that? For a while gg. Anyhow, the markets are doing great but some of the tech stocks are not doing much including CPQ and Intel. I guess you have noticed that Novl went up to 12. I wanted to pick it up at yesterdays price. It may come back along with some of the other stocks. I don't think that we are out of the woods yet. Russia seems to be less of a threat to the banks now. All those intl. banks are up but I am not tempted yet. About Mr. Clinton. I don't think he, like the intl. banks, is out of the woods yet either. But like they say: Nothing sticks to Teflon. He must be made out of that new stuff. Some of our Teflon ware has gotten messed up. The new ones have a life time guarantee. But he is not so new either. gg. And who is in line? Sigh. If I had lots of money I would not look at it at this point. But a turnaround can be more advantageous at times. My friends are at the Outer Banks. His wife, children and grandchildren are on their way home but he and his son are going inland until it blows over. I talked to him this morning. They may have to go all the way to Richmond to stay with friends. He wants to go back to the Outer Banks maybe by Thursday when his other son and wife are coming for the following week. Wow, a quarter million residents and visitors have to leave from Nagshead (I think) all the way down to Cape Hatteras. I don't know why that storm would stop at Cape Hatteras and not go all the way down to the end of the Island. I am glad we are not down there now. My wife would probably be a nervous wreck by now. She loves the ocean down there but the minute a storm is announced she is ready to jump in the car and get off the island. gg. She can take a meltdown in stocks better than a bad storm at the Outer Banks. It's only a narrow strip between the Bay and the Ocean and only 1 road out. Billwot knows that well.
