There's been some interesting insider trading going on with ALRIZ.
I am having difficulty sorting out what it means. Perhaps, you can shed some light on it. Five significant shareholders bought 17,500 shares of ALRIZ between 10/17 and 10/21 for $491,550. The following month five significant shareholders bought 23,000 shares between 11/12 and 11/26. I have not gone back beyond October to see if there's more of this... The first buy averaged about $28/share, then the second one averaged about $27 1/4 per share. When I try to find out who significant shareholders are, all I can find is Thomas F. Steyer et al (23%) and Wellington Trust Company NA (5.9%). LGND and AGN wouldn't buying it if they can call it for $22/share starting in June 1998, would they? This is an interesting puzzle, isn't it?
What do make of all this?

ALRIZ closed up 1 at 32 1/4 today. Impressive relative strength in a correcting market in which some large cap Biotechs showed considerable weakness (AMGN -1, BGEN -2 3/8, INCY -2).
