<<< Why are you so hostile? >>>

I wouldn't call it hostile, just irritated to some extent. It has LONG been known that Sudan has and/or was arm in arm with terrorist factions in Iran. Israeli officials have been citing this for years. Now that it's hit us right between the eyes, you're surprised.

<<<But look at it this way - Americans are not all as strident as are you, and may not be willing to die in bomb blasts. The terrorists are not only all convinced they are right, but they are all willing to die to prove it. Who will win? As long as Americans have doubts as to the rightness of their cause, they will not have the will to fight, and they will lose. At least that's the logic the bombers espouse.>>>

We won't lose anything more than if we do nothing at all. Most of these countries that are in the practice of training and harboring fugitives don't have the will or the fight to cotinue to do it once the losses start piling up.

<<In the Gulf War, everyone was convinced that Hussein was an evil that needed to be stopped, and we were behind the effort 100%. Of course, if the American boys had started coming home in body bags, that might have changed. >>>

And Americans don't feel that way about terrorists and the countries that support them. 'Scuse me but American boys did come home in body bags. At least honor that. Had they come back in the thousands many Americans would have opted for a glass parking lot in the general area of Baghdad.

<<<We are not 100% behind the Sudan bombing (maybe because we are
not sure it was a legitimate target). What do you base your absolute
conviction on? Clinton's word? Do you just dislike Arabs? Are all Arabs terrorists? When you say "they harbor terrorists", who are "they". How can you condemn an entire country or region of the world with no proof? >>>

"Gee, you don't agree with me, what are you a racist or something?" I wondered when this would rear its frightful head.

Uh excuse me...let's take a look back. Does anyone else out there recall the Congressional vote on the issue of action against Iraq? Anyone...anyone....? As I recall, a rather LARGE number of Democrats were actively against it. So now that you've stated that the American people were 100% behind the Persian Gulf War then it stands to reason that either these Democrats weren't in step with America or perhaps there wasn't the 100% support you cite.

<<hat makes you think I'm a left-wing anything?>>

I don't think anything of you except that you're misguided.
